It aims to show how our Republic could benefit by citizens coming together in new ways of public decision-making.

Chaired by Fiach MacConghail (Director of Abbey Theatre) and funded by Chuck Feeney's Atlantic Philanthropies the project leverages the internet and social media with real world events leading to a Citizens Assembly in Dublin in June 2011.

Bluebloc provided the following design and development services for the project:

Since launching the website and social media channels at 10am this morning the "We the Citizens" project has by 12 noon:

  • received more than 500 followers on Twitter
  • received more than 90 "likes" on Facebook
  • received more than 50 event signups fro the website
