CIRI is an official online register, supported by Government, of competent builders, contractors, specialist sub-contractors and tradespersons who undertake to carry out construction works in Ireland. Its objective is to be recognised as the primary online resource used by consumers in the public and private procurement of construction services.
The Brief
The brief was to design and develop an online application framework for the management of Construction Industry Register of Ireland (CIRI) members. The web application also provides an advanced search facility for the public to find and / or confirm a CIRI registered building company or practiotioner.
Tasks
- to determine the different user types, their goals and their competencies and consider their online interactions with the CIRI website, with a view to simplyfying the online application process.
- to provde CIRI staff with a application and renewal management tool.
- to design and develop the public facing side of CIRI providing access not only to the application process but also to an advanced search tool allowing users to find construction practitioners in more than 30 distiinct categories.
